A new method for producing insulating pliant synthetic fibre boards (PSFB) utilizing short-fibred wastes of natural and chemical fibre treatment has been developed at the branch research laboratory of the Department of Spinning of Natural and Chemical Fibres of the Vitebsk Technological University. The basic process stage in PSFB production is heat and mechanical treatment for a certain time. The experimental research supports the feasibility of practical application of the equation derived for describing the process of compression casting of pliant synthetic fibre boards of various feed compositions and thicknesses.
