First of all, the contribution of developmental psychology and psychoanalysis to the question of the development of emotions, their differentiation as well as their regulation within interactions will briefly be outlined. Essentially, a phenomenological microanalysis of a video scene from a research project in a day nursery gives information about how emotions in interactions within a small group are being articulated and communicated in practice and which role they play for the interpretation and evaluation of complex and dynamic situations. Which challenges arise from this for pedagogic specialists regarding the development of emotions on the early childhood?
