La localisation primaire rétropéritonéale du kyste hydatique au niveau du muscle psoas reste exceptionnelle. Les auteurs rapportent l’observation d’un patient de 41 ans, qui présente une masse de la fosse iliaque gauche associée à une fièvre. L’imagerie a montré la présence d’une masse kystique développée aux dépens du muscle psoas gauche. Il s’agissait d’un kyste hydatique infecté du psoas. Une périkystectomie partielle a été réalisée grâce à une voie d’abord rétro péritonéale. A partir de cette observation et des données de la littérature, les auteurs discutent les problèmes diagnostiques et thérapeutiques du kyste hydatique du psoas.
