A combination of photovoltaic-thermal collector and heat pump was proposed for electrical generation and residential heat supply simultaneously. Different types of combined systems and photovoltaic-thermal (PV-T) collector structures were presented and investigated. A novel PV-T integrated heat pump water heating system was proposed, which using PV-T panel as evaporator of heat pump. According to analysis on the collector overall performance, suitable structure was developed. Furthermore, optimum working temperature of PV-T collector, determined on the highest exergy efficiency, and heat output requirement, was discussed.
