Heutzutage stellt die Videookulographie neben der Elektronystagmographie das wesentliche Instrument der Dokumentation von Augenbewegungen in der Gleichgewichtsdiagnostik dar.Dabei sind fr den Einsatz in Kliniken bzw. Arztpraxen bisher nur stationre Systeme kommerziell verfgbar. Diese Ortsgebundenheit macht eine exakte Diagnostik besonders beim Anfallsschwindel schwierig, sodass eine einfach zu bedienende mobile Aufzeichnungseinheit, auch zur Eigendokumentation durch den Patienten,wnschenswert wre. Man ist nicht selten gezwungen,Patienten, bei denen eine Objektivierung von Schwindelbeschwerden von hoher Wichtigkeit ist, wie z.B.vor chirurgischen Entscheidungen beim Morbus Menire aber auch im Gutachtenwesen, klinisch-stationr zu beobachten.Im ambulanten Bereich sind hufig mehrfache Untersuchungen erforderlich. Diese Vorgehensweisen stellen neben der Belastung fr den Patienten einen relevanten Kostenfaktor fr das Gesundheitssystem dar. Bisher wurden in der internationalen Literatur nur wenige mobile Systeme vorgestellt. Dabei findet sich bei 2 Gerten eine elektronystagmographische, bei 1 Gert eine videookulographische Dokumentation. Whrend die Elektronystagmographie das grundstzliche Problem unterschiedlicher Ableitbedingungen (Hautwiderstand,Elektrodenposition) und damit schlecht reproduzierbarer Ergebnisse bietet, ist das vorgestellte videookulographische System ein Eigenbau ohne Angabe von technischen Daten. So gestaltet sich die Nutzung durch Dritte schwierig.Deshalb wird im Folgenden ein portables videookulographisches System vorgestellt,welches preiswert aus im freien Handel erhltlichen Teilen zusammengestellt worden ist.Um dem Patienten oder dem Untersucher die Mglichkeit zu geben Kommentare aufzuzeichnen, verfgt das Gert zustzlich ber einen Mikrofoneingang.
