Résumé
Issue du premier Plan cancer, la mise en place d’un dispositif d’autorisation spécifique des établissements de santé pour le traitement du cancer a permis de structurer l’offre de soins en cancérologie au niveau régional et d’harmoniser les pratiques des offreurs de soins impliqués dans le parcours de soins des patients atteints de cancer. Ce dispositif repose sur un socle de trois types d’obligations en termes de mesures transversales de qualité, de critères d’agrément spécifiques et de seuils d’activité minimale de façon à offrir un niveau de qualité de prise en charge sécurisé sur l’ensemble du territoire.
Le dispositif actuel est appelé à évoluer dans le cadre du troisième Plan cancer pour s’adapter aux nouveaux enjeux sociétaux, intégrer les modalités de prise en charge innovantes, conforter les organisations dédiées à des populations spécifiques (enfants, personnes âgées, cancers rares) et mieux orienter les patients nécessitant une prise en charge plus complexe qui requiert un niveau de plateau technique approprié en termes de compétences et d’équipements.
