This paper ives results numerically to compare with the measured radiation data, visible spectral radiant intensities of sphere model in ballistic range. There are three steps in numerical calculation: at first, the hypersonic flow field around the model is simulated numerically by solving axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations with thermal and chemical nonequilibrium gas models (Two-temperature model and 11-species air model are used); then the spectral radiation of flow field is calculated by using the line-by-line radiation model; the visible spectral radiant intensities are acquired by using integration method to solve the radiative transfer equation at last. Most computational data agree with the experimental data basically.
