Obiettivo
Il bendaggio gastrico per via laparoscopica (LAGB) è utilizzato per trattare l’obesità patologica. Abbiamo riesaminato le caratteristiche radiologiche delle complicanze associate ed il ruolo della radiologia nel sospetto di complicanze.
Materiali e metodi
Nel nostro studio sono stati compresi 313 pazienti sottoposti a LAGB tra il 30 Gennaio 2001 e il 3 Ottobre 2006. E’ stata eseguita di routine un’indagine delle prime vie digerenti in prima giornata post-operatoria e sono stati fatti degli aggiustamenti del port ad intervalli variabili. Sono stati eseguiti studi radiografici aggiuntivi in pazienti con sospetto di complicanze.
Risultati
Dei 313 pazienti sottoposti a LAGB, 46 hanno avuto 51 complicanze (16,3%). Le complicanze più comuni sono state la deiscenza del sistema di bendaggio (5,1%), lo scivolamento anteriore del bendaggio (3,5%) e l’infezione del port (1,6%). Ci sono stati due decessi (0,6%), uno precoce ed uno tardivo.
Conclusioni
Il bendaggio gastrico per via laparoscopica è una procedura relativamente a basso rischio, ampiamente eseguita per trattare l’obesità patologica. L’imaging gioca un ruolo importantissimo nella valutazione precoce e nell’individuazione delle complicanze.
