Kraniofaziale Chirurgie beschreibt einen interdisziplinären Aufgabenbereich, der sich mit der operativen Korrektur angeborener und erworbener auffälliger Varianten des Schädelaufbaus befasst. Neurochirurgische und gesichtschirurgische Expertise sind gleichermaßen gefordert, da im Rahmen übergreifender Korrekturen eine Verbindung zwischen intra- und extrakraniellen Kompartments geschaffen wird.
