AbstractThe present study describes the effect of methyl isocyanate (MIC) on rabbit cardiac microsomal Na+, K+-ATPase. Addition of MIC in vitro resulted in dose-dependent inhibition of Na+, K+-ATPase, Mg2+-ATPase and K+-activated p-nitrophenyl phosphatase (K+-PNPPase).
