This paper shows, that European civilization takes a special place of globalization. Despite of fact that it is formed throughout many centuries, its identity it is not compeletly defined, the boundaries of the continents are still being discussed, hot discussions are raised according to political and social universal values. It is notifed that the picture of Europe is made of enormous variety of attitudes, behaviours and social and political acts. The point is that diversity in its integrity shows the civilization power of Europe. Generally it seems that European Culture is a product of given and conflicted values which unify the cultural life but in the same time local values are taking care of, especially habbits and languages. In spiritual life dychotomy of attitudes, behaviours, opinions, actions, aspirations it is easily observed. From the one side it is mentioned that it is not an original product, but it is the result of many interactions, mainly those coming from ancient times: culture of Greek’s and Roman’s, the idea of judaism and christianity but on the other side it is observed that during past centuries it was expansive and it dominated other continents. It was copied by other civilizations. It is characteristical for Europe in its dychotomic development that on the one hand we can see on openess for civilizations changes, on the other hand it is eary to realize a conservatism, in accesibility of particular parts – regions, states, groups of states. In European culture modern and global values are shaped under American influence. The European variety is characteristic dubbing of an American professionalism presented in particular languages of peoples living in Europe. Fast information flow and scientifical and technical progress makes an influence on the surrounding reality. The shape of global values depends on our awerness of the two procesess which run in the world in the some time: unification and desintegration. Stroming changes that are made in a values and a lifestyle are taken very often as a crisis of civilization.
