This paper is connected with the development and application of special algorithm of digital signal processing for passive acoustic location using cheap equipment. The calculation of ambiguity function by spectral method is suggested instead of classical integration. The effectiveness of location is proved by full-scale experiments.
In this paper a proof-of-concept of three-dimensional inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging of a rotating airborne target is presented. The authors describe an attempt to obtain 3D imaging of a moving airplane in a bistatic situation. The simulation scenario is presented and the imaging results are depicted. The results are commented on and conclusions drawn.
In this paper, a short review of radar cross-section (RCS) profiles of typical metallic shapes of targets is addressed. The aim is to show that the intensity of forward-scattering usually prevails over backward-scattering, especially at higher frequencies. It is also shown that a large geometrical aspect ratio of typical obstacles leads to more omnidirectional scattering in one of the scattering planes...
Passive radars are emerging technologies that use non-cooperative transmitters instead of dedicated ones. They present a set of advantages with respect to active ones, such as lower cost and low probability of intercept, but require complex signal processing stages due to the use of non-controlled transmitters. IDEPAR demonstrator is a DVB-T based passive radar developed by the University of Alcalá...
