The near field radiation at the tip of a magnetized InSb cylinder is enhanced by tuning the external magnetic field. Cylindrical geometries that supports magnetized surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) are proposed. In order to further enhance the near field strength at the tip of the cylinder, an improved geometry, i.e. the conical-cylinder structure, where a conical is attached at the top of the base...
The problem of eddy current generated by the gradient coil in superconducting MRI is discussed. A three-dimensional finite element model is set up to simulate the magnetic flux density generated by the eddy currents of the gradient coil in the patient region. A transversal gradient coil is designed and validated with the three-dimensional finite element method.
The simulated annealing method for the designing of longitudinal gradient coils in magnetic resonance imaging is discussed. A non-linear object function is constructed for optimization. In the final, a cylindrical longitudinal gradient coil is designed with the method and the electromagnetic properties of the coil is analyzed.
