In the paper, a 11∗ 11 antenna array of dipole at ka-band was taken as example. Through theoretically analyzing the main sources of amplitude-phase error of phased array calibration in mid-field, the result shows that the error is within the available range and proves the feasibility of this method.
The paper describes the method in calibrating field strength probes in pulse modulation applications such as radar. Using pulse modulated signal, a standard field is produced in the field standard system and field probes performance is tested in the standard field. The difference of correct factors about the electric field probe is very big between in pulse modulation signal excitation and in sine...
In this paper, a study of a high-precision temperature-voltage converting circuit for RF power calorimeter is presented. It consists of a constant current source and a matching output part. Both of two parts are designed and implemented in order to calibrate RF power. The development of RF power calibration is based on the principle of substituting direct power for RF power, which is very mature technique...
In this paper, we focus on the amplitude and phase consistency of W-band multi-channel transceiver components. The influence of amplitude and phase inconsistency of transceiver components is analyzed, and a calibration method of amplitude and phase consistency of W-band transceiver components by vector network analyzer and W-band frequency conversion components is provided. After the calibration,...
Multi-channel amplitude and phase calibration is the premise and foundation to obtain the high quality pattern. On the issues of W-band radar calibration, a calibration approach based on space-fed transceiver is proposed. Based upon two-dimensional four subarrays single-polarized antenna model, rotate two-dimensional turntable in small angle continuously until the centers of two antennas at both sides...
Free space methods for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) antenna calibrations at Open Area Test Site (OATS) are not suitable for monopole antennas due to corresponding large wavelengths in low-frequency bands. As an alternative, the Equivalent Capacitor Substitution Method (ECSM) is commonly adopted now. In this paper, a major uncertainty factor of capacitance accuracy is investigated by simulation...
By using invert microstrip, a new on wafer multiline TRL calibration kits for THz measurement are designed in this paper. Our approach is based on the multi-frequency formulation of the vector network analyzer calibration problem. The calibration kits are designed covers a range of frequencies from 70 to 220 GHz. The simulator results are given in this paper.
MIL-STD-461 has been applied and adapted as the basis for electromagnetic interference standards in many countries. By investigating the different versions of MIL-STD-461/462 in this paper, it can be found that the requirement and procedure of system calibration of RS105 test are more and more specific and comprehensive. Some problems are also discussed subsequently in the application of the calibration...
