This paper proposes dielectric lens-corrected horn with a coaxial groove. For covering a wider area with keeping a high gain, this paper newly proposes dielectric lens loaded into a horn antenna for wide angle radiation for 24 GHz radar systems. It can improve the lowest gain of the desired area by optimizing both parameters of the dielectric lens and the primary horn.
A planar antenna with a binary pattern on the radiating patch has been designed and optimized by the binary particle swarm optimization algorithm for wireless local area network operation. To obtain the desired results, the developed binary particle optimization code is applied as the external optimizer to drive the full-wave electromagnetic simulator, HFSS. The optimization process is automatically...
This paper proposes composed right/left handed transmission lines (CRLH-TL) consisting of arbitrarily-shaped conductor elements, which are designed by a genetic algorithm (GA). However, when the right/left handed transmission lines are constructed by these elements, the higher-order mode coupling between the adjacent elements often causes the unexpected transmission characteristics error and then...
A novel estimation method for direction of arrival angle is introduced. A compressed sensing technique is applied to this application. The resolution of the proposed method is superior to conventional methods such as the MUSIC. Furthermore, we show that the performance can be enhanced when the source signal is multi-band.
