We propose a method to measure the residual gas in microwave vacuum electronic devices (VED) in long-term storage based on Rayleigh scattering, and establish the relation between the gas state and the intensity of scattered light. This method can be used to monitor the status of VED in long-term storage.
In this paper, the results of permittivity and loss tangent measurements of high frequency ceramics are presented. The free space method is used to measure the permittivity and loss tangent of different ceramics in the millimeter wave band (110 GHz-125 GHz).
A broadband pill-box window with sapphire piece for 0.14THz folded waveguide traveling wave tube is manufactured.
