A Mid-infrared Free-Electron Laser (MIR-FEL) facility named as KU-FEL (Kyoto University FEL) has been developed in Institute of Advanced Energy, Kyoto University. The facility aims at utilizing MIR-FEL to various energy related sciences, such as material, biological and chemical sciences. The present status, performance and result of demonstration experiment are reported in this paper.
