Let d = (32k+1)2/20, where k is an odd integer. Our result shows that the magnitude of the cross-correlation values of a ternary m-sequence {st} of period 34k − 1 and its decimated sequence {sdt} is upper bounded by 5√3n+1, where n = 4k.
In this paper, we investigate the correlation property of extended d-form sequences for application in stream ciphers and pseudo-random number generators. Firstly, we present the cross-correlation of some extended d-form sequences, which is a generalization of Fu Chun-sheng's result. Based on this result, a method to form extended d-form sequences with ideal autocorrelation is obtained consequently.
