A detailed characterization and analysis of the microwave properties of a set of nanogranular (Fe0.7Co0.3)71B22Ni7 films under an applied magnetic dc field ranging from 0 to 45 kA/m is presented. A full microwave characterization of the films is performed up to 20 GHz using a vector network analyzer (VNA) connected to a matched microstripline or coplanar waveguide, loaded with the films. The evolution...
In this study, we investigated that both magnetic switching and tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) ratio of MTJs with the NiFeSiB free layer. The junctions were fabricated by a photolithographic patterning procedure and ion beam etching. A magnetic field of 100 Oe was applied during deposition to induce the uniaxial magnetic anisotropy in ferromagnetic layer. The NiFeSiB layers were used to substitute...
A detailed study of the anomalies in the ferromagnetic properties of the RNi4Ga compounds with R = Sm, Gd and Tb. Heat capacity measurement of these samples also show anomalies at low temperatures in addition to the peak corresponding to TC. Other magnetic properties such as magnetisation, coercivity, magnetic anisotropy and magnetic domain walls of the samples were also studied.
We have fabricated tunnelling magnetoresistance (TMR) devices based on an epitaxial layer of NiMnSb grown almost lattice matched on (In,Ga)As, an aluminium oxide barrier and a CoFe counter electrode. The devices show a TMR of 14% at low temperature and 8% at room temperature. The as-grown NiMnSb layer exhibits a strong uniaxial anisotropy, which leads either to a clean spin valve signal with layers...
In this work we present experimental results and a discussion of the structural and magnetic features leading to a minimum magnetic correlation length of the order of 20 nm thick films of Ni2MnGa deposited on MgO substrates. The study is conducted using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) for the magnetic characterization and an atomic force-magnetic force microscope (AFM-MFM) setup, which allows...
In this paper, the antiferromagnetic (AF) NiMn exchange coupled-CoFe films exhibit excellent soft magnetic behaviors with very strong anisotropy at 90deg of the pinning direction is discussed. This led to very high ferromagnetic resonance frequency (FMR) up to 10 GHz with high permeability. These antiferromagnetic exchange coupled multilayers offer new and promising issues for magnetic microwave applications.
In this study, the formation of L12-Mn3Rh and L12-Mn3Ru phases were examined, in accordance with the recipe of L12-phase formation for Mn-Ir. The exchange biasing properties of the bilayers with these L12 phases were investigated.
Single crystals of Ni51Mn25.5Ga23.5 were grown in [001] direction of parent phase by the Czochralski method. A two-way thermoelastic shape memory with a larger spontaneous strain of 1.62% in the Ni51Mn25.5Ga23.5 crystal, noting without a prestress or an external magnetic field is reported. found. The results are discussed with reference to growth mechanism of single crystals and magnetic anisotropy...
In this study quasi-static switching behavior of a Ni81Fe19 ellipsoid (long axis 160mum, short axis 80mum, thickness 10 nm) under the influence of a microwave field by longitudinal magneto-optic Kerr effect magnetometry. The external quasi-static magnetic field is applied parallel to the long axis of the ellipsoid. The uniaxial anisotropy induced during the growth process is also orientated parallel...
In this study the exchange anisotropies of (001) oriented Mn1-xPtx/NiFe epitaxial bilayers were investigated, and found that the bilayer exhibit both strong 1-and 4-fold anisotropies, which was hard to be understood by a simple single spin model. Thus, XMCD (X-ray magnetic circular dichroism) measurements has been carried out to insight the magnetism of Mn and Fe or Co at the interface of Ni80Fe20...
