This paper propose a method of suppressing inter-user interference in the in-band full duplex communication. In this method, an interference compress technique is used for eliminating the interference at the receiving terminal. Also, we evaluated the achievable transmission rate of the proposed method by using channel state information (CSI) measured by the outdoor field experiment.
In this paper, we investigate feasibility of orbital angular momentum (OAM) based analog transmission method. The method uses analog discrete Fourier transform (DFT) feed networks for mode generation as well as circular array antenna with right-hand and left-hand circular polarizations. The simulation revealed the designed array antennas enhance the capacity up to double of the single polarization...
The authors have been researching a 4×4 SVD-MIMO-OFDM system that adaptively changes transmitter weights and modulation schemes in accordance with feedback information received by a TDD. This report presents our evaluation of the effects of feedback delays due to the TDD on the BER performance of the proposed system. The computer simulation results revealed that the required normalized SNR of a system...
This paper clarifies the effects of configuration of a MIMO base station antenna on the channel capacity in line-of-sight street cell environment. It is shown that the optimum beam width in the horizontal plane depends on the road width and the distance from the base station. Moreover, it is also shown that the channel capacity decrease as the service area becomes wider.
The eigen-beamforming with the end-fire arrangement has been proposed as an interference suppression method suitable for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) full-duplex. We clarify the effectiveness of this scheme by experimentally evaluating the bit-error-rate (BER) performance of the uplink desired signal from the mobile terminal while the self-interference in the base station is suppressed. The...
This paper discuss about a MIMO monopole microstrip antenna for LTE application. The MIMO antennas that are currently commercially available for LTE applications generally only cover a narrowband of LTE frequency. Meanwhile, the antenna to cover wider bandwidth will cost a high price. A MIMO microstrip antenna is proposed to overcome that issue due to its small size compared to other antenna for wider...
The authors investigated the spatial distribution of the vital sign on the human body using array antenna. We deployed the array antenna in front and back of the body, and used direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method. As a result, it was found a vital sign distribute intensely at left of the chest, which corresponds to the source location of cardiac impulse.
In this paper a novel compact printed ultra wide band (UWB) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna is presented with pattern diversity characteristic for portable devices. The MIMO configuration consists of two identical compact UWB antennas with a very simple decoupling circuit. To analyze the performance of antenna in UWB range the impedance bandwidth, isolation, radiation pattern, gain and...
In this paper, two planar inverted-F antennas on a slitted ground plane is proposed for MIMO mobile terminal. This antenna is designed to operate at 5 GHz with 1 GHz bandwidth. In simulation stage, the length and width of slitted are varied. The optimum slit's dimension is shown to be λ/4 length and 0.0333λ width, which produced reflection coefficient of −16.38 dB and isolation of −23.52 dB at 5 GHz,...
In this report, we investigate prediction accuracy of fading channels in line-of-sight (LOS) environment when using autoregressive (AR) model. We especially evaluate the accuracy of the predicted channel in LOS environment when applying the theoretical autocorrelation formula of the LOS environment to the AR model. The influence of the prediction methods on MIMO capacities is also investigated. The...
