Solar energy is a promising alternative energy source for a sustainable pollution-free future. Due to the requirements of high efficiency, reliability, power density and low cost, transformerless PV inverters can be utilized in a grid-connected solar energy system. However, this suffers from no galvanic isolation and leakage currents through the stray capacitances between the PV array and the ground...
In this paper, a new multilevel inverter topology which can be operated in both symmetrical and asymmetrical configurations has been proposed. In order to produce all steps of voltage at output, four different algorithms are proposed to find the value of DC sources. The proposed topology reduce switch count, gate driver circuits, total voltage blocking capability and isolated DC voltage sources which...
A digital integrated circuit for sub-nanosecond dead-time adjustment is designed and its operation principle is described. The designed dead-time adjustment circuit (DTAC) generates two complementary control signals for the FET switches used in synchronous switching DC-DC converters. The control signals are generated from a PWM signal that is provided at the input of the DTAC. The circuit is based...
In this paper, a three-phase five level inverter with new balancing algorithm is proposed using Selective Harmonics Elimination PWM. The inverter is fed photovoltaic generator as dc source. 36 redundant vectors are making use for the 12 unbalance cases of four capacitor voltages instead of 24 cases presented in the previous works. The obtained results show that the frequency of the PWM is unchanged.
