This work presents the design and simulation of a 6 GHz to 13 GHz Archimedean spiral antenna loaded with dielectric plates. Two dielectric plates separated by an air gap placed precisely on the Archimedean spiral antenna. The dielectric plates are made up of FR-4 dielectric material (dielectric constant 4.3 and loss tangent 0.025). It is found that, after the placement of the dielectric plates, directivity...
A method is proposed to adaptively change the axial-ratio beam of simple circularly-polarized antennas. It is shown, that by varying the phase shift between two orthogonal elements the axial-ratio beam shape can be dynamically adjusted. This allows control of the direction of minimum axial-ratio and the ability to increase or decrease the beamwidth in one of two planes. The method is intended for...
In this work, a stacked ring spiral antenna has been proposed, the metallic ring is stacked behind the spiral antenna with the help of FR-4 substrate (dielectric constant=4.3 and loss tangent 0.025), after the ring attachment lowest frequency of spiral antenna is down shifted by 590 MHz. The size miniaturization is 42.5% with improved axial ratio.
