This paper presents a model for calculating electric field in non conducting regions in steady state AC magnetic application, with conductors described by surface impedance, using the 3D finite element method. This approach is validated by calculating the equivalent impedance of a coil comparing the presented surface impedance decoupled method with a volume decoupled method.
This paper presents an optimum design of a glass net for mold transformer to reduce the electric field. The glass net is used to prevent the coil and epoxy resin, but it causes the electric field intensity and partial discharge. The optimum design of a glass net has been investigated by mean of response surface method and finite element method.
