Stream languages offer a simple multi-core programming model and achieve good performance. Yet expressing data rearrangement patterns (like a matrix block decomposition) in these languages is verbose and error prone. In this paper, we propose a high-level programming language to elegantly describe n-dimensional data reorganization patterns. We show how to compile it to stream languages.
This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of algorithms for spatio-temporal pattern mining, which helps to select appropriate algorithms for a given Moving Objects Database. We can distinguish basic and extended comparing functions. The basic ones correspond to research fields related to pattern mining. The extended comparing functions extend the analysis to additional aspects. All these functions...
The modeling of multimedia and especially the semantic gap between the visual features and semantic concepts become an important domain due to the quantity of visual digital content, which speedily grows. In this paper, the analysis and semantic annotation of images are studied. The development of methods for colour image annotations based on learning represents the main contribution of the paper...
Nowadays, advanced virtual reality technology can realize tactile sensation with force feedback devices. These devices are expected to achieve new type of interactions between human and computers. In this paper, we propose an advanced image edition tool with force feedback interfaces. Users utilize haptic information for image edition additionally. We discuss about a method of haptic rendering and...
The article presents the approach based on the usage of syntactic methods for the static analysis of handwritten signatures. The graph linguistic formalisms applied, such as the IE graph and ETPL(k) grammar, are characterised by considerable descriptive strength and a polynomial membership problem of the syntactic analysis. For the purposes of representing the analysed handwritten signatures, new...
