We report quantitative spectrally-resolved transient absorption in GaAs quantum wells for varying pump intensity. Comparison to microscopic modeling yields quantitative information about the Coulomb-induced nonlinearities and radiative coupling.
We investigate the coherent dynamics of excitonic wavepackets in semiconductors driven by intense narrowband THz pulses. Time-resolved THz-pump and optical-probe measurements demonstrate strong nonlinear-optical transients of the light-hole and heavy-hole excitonic resonances in GaAs/AlGaAs QWs.
We demonstrate the spatial separation of right and left circularly polarized components of a linear polarized beam non-normally incident at an air-GaAs interface through the transverse separation of optically injected up- and down-spin electrons.
