We introduce novel method of precise compressor alignment for Petawatt-scale CPA lasers. The method is using compressor gratings as gratings of diffraction interferometer. It meets accuracy requirements (~10-5) and allows simple procedures of alignment.
We report on a fiber CPA system producing 100 muJ energy pulses with quasi transform limited duration of 267 fs at a repetition rate of 300 kHz leading to a peak power of 345 MW.
Carrier-envelope phase (CEP) stabilization of a femtosecond CPA system featuring a transmission grating compressor is demonstrated. Out-of-loop control of the CEP using an AOPDF inside the laser chain is also shown for the first time.
Record-short pulses of 200 fs have been obtained from a power-scalable-Yb-fiber-CPA system that uses chirped-volume-Bragg-gratings for the stretcher and compressor. The power was scaled up to 50 W with a corresponding 33 W of compressed power.
We introduce single-grating and single-grism pulse compressors, which are compact and automatically aligned for distortion-free output, and the latter of which compensates for significant material dispersion up to third order.
