We experimentally demonstrate wavelength conversion of spectrum-sliced broadband ASE light source based on hybrid four-wave mixing in a 1-km-long highly nonlinear fiber. The 3-dB conversion bandwidth is measured to be 38 nm.
We have demonstrated all-optical on-off switching at 10 Gbit/s using four-wave mixing in only 1.9 m of bismuth-based highly nonlinear fiber. The all-optical on-off switch has a fast response time and high ON/OFF switching ratio.
We report a bandwidth-enhanced multi-wavelength source from a stimulated Brillouin scattering assisted erbium-doped fiber laser using four-wave-mixing in a 35-cm highly nonlinear bismuth oxide fiber. Tuning of output wavelengths and wavelength spacing have been demonstrated.
We demonstrate a simple method to generate optical pulse train with tunable pulsewidth at 10 Gb/s using four-wave mixing in 1.9 m bismuth based highly nonlinear fiber.
