We observed 7.2 dB squeezing of continuous-wave light at 860 nm with a periodically-poled KTiOPO4 crystal in an optical parametric oscillator. The squeezing level was obtained as the LO phase was locked.
We report on a singly resonant injection seeded optical parametric ring oscillator with signal pulse energy of up to 38 mJ, 50% pump depletion, spectral purity of 99.97%, and M2 of about 6.
Blue light-induced infrared absorption is investigated in bulk and periodically poled KTiOPO4, MgO:stoichiometric-LiNbO3, MgO:stoichiometric-LiTaO3, KNbO3. KNbO3 and MgO:stoichiometric-LiNbO3 show the lowest susceptibility to the induced absorption. Periodic poling increases the susceptibility in KTiOPO4 and MgO:stoichiometric-LiTaO3.
Efficient doubling of femtosecond pulses from a mode-locked Yb:KYW laser in periodically poled and aperiodically poled KTP is reported. Second-harmonic conversion efficiencies of up to 58% have been achieved and 354-fs pulses generated at 522 nm.
