A dramatic enhancement of harmonics and the extension of cutoff were observed in a linearly polarized two-color laser field below 10 nm. The intense soft X-ray supercontinuum provides an alternative for the attosecond generation.
We report a compact 5.5 W mid-IR source that simultaneously generates four wavelengths (3.5 mum, 4.3 mum, 4.6 mum and 5.5 mum) collinearly from a single ZnGeP2 OPO pumped by Type-II KTP OPO via wavelength-dependent polarization rotation.
We experimentally demonstrate a novel generation of chirped mirrors, resulting in the compression of extremely clean 5.6-fs pulses from a noncollinear optical parametric amplifier. These mirrors display much smaller phase ripple than previous design approaches.
