We demonstrate a muW-level broadly tunable THz source based on parametric down-conversion in orientation-patterned GaAs pumped by femtosecond pulses from a Tm-doped fiber laser. Generated THz powers should be scalable to mW-levels with this approach.
We report the first continuous-wave Yb3+-doped phosphate fiber laser. 12 W of diffraction-limited, 1.06-mum power was generated from a 71-cm length of double-clad fiber with 34 W of absorbed pump power.
We report on an ytterbium-doped rod-type 0.5-m long photonic crystal fiber (PCF) laser emitting 320-W in a fundamental mode from a 60-mum core. Furthermore, single-transverse-mode propagation in a passive photonic crystal 100-mum-core fiber is investigated.
We demonstrate 314 W continuous-wave output power at 1077 nm from a Yb-doped fiber laser with a truly single-mode core. The core employed a W-type refractive index profile that suppressed detrimental stimulated Raman scattering through spectral filtering.
