In this paper we propose a new technique that enables optical single sideband generation for optical subcarrier multiplexing. A high sideband suppression ratio is achieved across the full RF spectral band.
We proposed and experimentally demonstrated polarization shift keying (PolSK) label over vestigial sideband carrier suppressed return-to-zero (VSB-CSRZ) payload for 43 Gb/s all-optical label switching network. This is a candidate technique for the next generation optical network.
Techniques for generation and detection of optical minimum-shift keying signals are presented. The property of optical MSK and expected performance in high speed optical transmission system are discussed.
