A calibration system of a 3.5 mm coaxial power sensor was implemented using transfer standards with 7 mm coaxial or K-band waveguide input connectors. A 7 mm-3.5 mm or WR42-3.5 mm adapter was used to form a combined transfer standard. The effective efficiency of the combined transfer standard was obtained. The 3.5 mm coaxial power sensor was calibrated using the well-known direct comparison method...
The ISO GUM provides a framework for uncertainty evaluation using the law of propagation of uncertainty (GUF). The output quantity is characterized by a Gaussian or student-t distribution. Supplement one to the GUM deals with the propagation of probability distributions of the input quantities of a mathematical model of measurement for the evaluation of uncertainty by a Monte Carlo method. This paper...
A digital optical fiber current transformer (OCT) based on Rogowski coil and optical fiber transmission for use in high voltage systems is described in this paper. The technologies of signal sampling, processing and communication for the optical current transformer are introduced. The paper analyzes the present supply power techniques on high voltage side, and puts forward a new closed-loop regulating...
This paper describes the development of a microwave power sensor calibration system using the direct comparison transfer method with a resistive power splitter. The system setup, its uncertainty analysis and measurement results are discussed.
We propose a thin-film thermal converter with resistive sensing of the temperature rise of the heater. Vanadium oxide (VO2) is used for the sensing resistors. This paper shows the simulations used for the basic design. The high temperature coefficient of its resistivity and the optimization of the design envisage a sensitivity of 10 VldrW-1.
