The cavity model method is combined with the extended inverted composition method (ICM) to calculate the impedance of rectangular plane with several circular holes. The agreement of the measured results and the calculated ones validate the presented method. Furthermore, the influence of the holes on the impedance between power and ground plane is discussed.
We have derived a transfer impedance of an SMA receptacle as a wideband measurement electrode being used for discharge currents from a charged human, and have measured its frequency characteristics from 300 kHz to 20 GHz. With a 12 GHz digital oscilloscope, measurement of discharge currents through a hand-held metal bar from a charged human was also made, and thereby the injected currents on the SMA...
A new analytical formulation is presented for the shielding effectiveness of an enclosure with a dielectric-backed aperture. The shielding effectiveness may be calculated as a function of frequency, dielectric constant, and position within the enclosure. And, a formulation has been developed for the shielding effectiveness of the structure where the one side of dielectric is partially backed by conductor.
