The possibility of using the quasioptical waveguide modeling (QWM) method for experimental study of backward scattering polarization characteristics of physical objects and their scale models in the near millimeter (NMM) region of the electromagnetic spectrum is investigated. The quasioptical polarimetric micro-compact range (PMCR) has been developed and carried out for realizing the QWM method. The...
The problem on excitation of field by relativistic charge in semi-infinite dielectric waveguide has been solved previously. There the appearance of rear front of wake wave was predicted and asymptotic field expressions were obtained. In this paper we found the exact solution of this problem.
The rigorous solution of the problem about eigen resonant frequencies of H/sub ps0/ modes of the ferrite resonator in the waveguide is found. The dependencies of eigen resonant frequencies on material parameters of the ferrite resonator are analyzed. Some simple formulas in the analytic form for engineering computations of frequencies with a high degree of accuracy are received.
The excitation equations for the irregular helical waveguide are obtained on the basis of conversion of coordinates and using Galerkin's projection technique.
The frequency band properties of two closely positioned longitudinal slots in the broad wall of a rectangular waveguide (one being positioned in the middle of the wall) are studied. It is shown that this radiator is very efficient and narrow-band, especially, when the slots are filled with dielectric. The system of two double-slots is considered as well.
The offered mathematical model is researched on the basis of the theory of energization of the longitudinal non-regular waveguide of rectangular cross-section and the efficiency of the TWT-O with an E/sub 11/ operating wave in a double comb slow-wave structure. Variants of such TWT in which an efficiency of more than 70 % is reached are found.
Given in this paper is the notion of a numerical experiment, its prospects and possibilities as a powerful tool in studies of physics and microwave technology. The requirements for mathematical models and calculation procedures are stated. The author proposes an effective technique of digitization for numerical calculation of differential equations. Propagation of an H/sub 10/ wave in a non-regular...
The transcendental dispersion equation was obtained and analysed by linear approximation. Such equation describes electron-wave mechanism of oscillation amplification based on coherent Smith-Parsell effect, which realized in the open wave-guide - periodic structure system. The capacity of energy transmission from electron beam to electromagnetic field by fast mode of space charge and extending wave...
Based on design equations taken from the conformal mapping theory, the authors have investigated the frequency response of a miniaturized coplanar power splitter for instantaneous frequency measurement subsystems application. Devices in different scales are fabricated and measured. The results of insertion loss through both arms of each structure are presented and compared. The devices were made on...
The procedures of the electrodynamical analysis of the axisymmetric devices based on quasi static definition and combination of the LC-circuits for 12 TEM waveguide, crossing the elementary grid volume, with borders in cylindrical coordinate system are described. For the axisymmetric devices the three-dimensional (3D) LC-grid transforms into the 2D LC-grid in radial cross section of devices with the...
In order to analyze dielectric-covered waveguide slot arrays, the performance of each element has to be studied with the presence of the dielectric substrate explicitly taken into account. An efficient method for the analysis of dielectric-covered waveguide slots is presented. An analytical transform is derived for the rooftop expansion and line testing (RELT) to evaluate the asymptotic parts of the...
