The problem on excitation of field by relativistic charge in semi-infinite dielectric waveguide has been solved previously. There the appearance of rear front of wake wave was predicted and asymptotic field expressions were obtained. In this paper we found the exact solution of this problem.
The frequency band properties of two closely positioned longitudinal slots in the broad wall of a rectangular waveguide (one being positioned in the middle of the wall) are studied. It is shown that this radiator is very efficient and narrow-band, especially, when the slots are filled with dielectric. The system of two double-slots is considered as well.
