Human gait can be detected by plantar pressure. Previous wireless portable systems were not able to collect and analyze the plantar pressure from both feet simultaneously. In this study, the multi-connection capability of CC2650 Bluetooth low energy (BLE) chip from Texas Instruments was utilized to construct the pressure sensor insoles system. A smart phone application was implemented to receive, store and display the pressure information from both feet. This system can identify the gait cycle and pressure distribution which can be used to assist the physicians or coaches during training.
