This paper provides comparative control study of PMSG wind turbine connected to DC load through a DC/DC converter in order to improve the impact on the power system and optimize the power production. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms analyzed and compared are: A conventional proportional-integral controller (PI) and two based fuzzy logic controllers (Fuzzy-PI and Adaptive FLC-PI). The aim of the proposed algorithms is to track the output voltage of the buck converter which generates an efficient duty cycle that maximizes the power. The ability of the control scheme is assessed and discussed by means of simulation in MATLAB/Simulink /SimPowerSystems. Obtained results show the efficiency of the adaptive FLC-PI controller to track the reference voltage of 500V perfectly, especially in comparison with the performance of conventional control system under variable wind speed.
