In this paper, we propose a new miniaturized Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) for Dual Wide Band operation for Long Term Evolution (LTE) Europe bands. By a patch design, the AMC is proposed in mono band. Next, a square slot is added to achieve a Dual Wide Band AMC (DWBAMC) operation. At the beginning, this design proved to be of a large unit cell. This problem is later solved by reducing the unit size from 25.3 mm to 14.68 mm while keeping the similar result in the reflection phase and coefficient and conserving high surface impedance. Tri-band operation is also designed based on the patch design adding other square slot. This design is used to replace the conventional metallic reflector that allows the miniaturization of LTE and tri band antenna. We show and discuss the simulation results from ANSYS HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator) tool.
