Transferring the known signal processing solutions from the field of communication to the field of digital control systems for electric power converter (inverters, active filters, etc.) developers are facing a number of challenges. These include problems with the identification of signals with a maximum frequency in accordance with the Kotelnikov-Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem. This article discusses the limitations imposed on the use of boundary conditions of this theorem applied to development of digital control systems for power converters that eliminate these problems.
