The battery management system is the key part to ensure the reliable and safe operation of battery. However, researches today mainly focus on the estimation of battery states and the key functions of battery management system, rather than the development platform from perspective of engineering practice, and this highly limits the application of control algorithms in battery management system. This paper gives a comprehensive introduction of the research results achieved by author. Specifically, the development platform based on configuration is described from perspective of engineering practice. The methodology of configuration is introduced to the design of the development platform. And the implementation is divided into two parts. The first one is in the host computer which realizes the parsing of configuration graphics. The second one is in the micro control unit (MCU) which realizes the interpreter of the parsing file generated by description language. On this platform, the engineers only need to create the simulation graphics in Simulink to describe the specific control strategy, which means they don't need to know the realization details. Finally, a test is also described. The test results show that the features of the development platform meet the expected requirements.
