Solid state transformer (SST) is a power transformer which led to the reduction in the physical profile of a transformer with power electronic devices on both the sides of the transformer supplemented with the ancillary services provided by the introduction of power electronic devices into the system. In this work, a two-stage topology is introduced which provides low voltage DC (LVDC) port, or medium voltage DC (MVDC) port. In order to get controlled output voltage, a dual loop based closed loop control is used for the inverter which is the last stage of the SST for different loads. The proposed topology is easily scalable to higher voltage levels. The simulation corresponding to these stages is done to analyse the performance of the topology.
