The article describes a functional structure of the problem-oriented program complex for resource-saving control of basic oxygen steelmaking process in the metallurgical production operator advisor mode. The program complex based on a process mathematical model allows calculating the limit solubility of the refractory phase in the converter slag of a given composition and temperature, assessing the quantitative characteristic of slag corrosion, defining technological parameters of melting based on the input data on the composition of the charge, the desired composition and temperature of the metal with the condition to minimize the working layer of wear basic oxygen furnace refractory lining. In the development of program complex the mathematical modeling methods and technologies of automated information systems based on the ware type were used. Application of the program complex at the metallurgical enterprises can improve life trouble-free operation of thermal units (converters), as well as improve the product quality steelmaking chemical composition and its internal structure.
