The paper presents a CAD oriented closed-form models for the computation of dispersive and conductor thickness based line parameters of single-layered non-planar coplanar waveguide (CPW) for finite ground plane widths. The available static closed-form models for effective relative permittivity and characteristic impedance of the planar single-layered are adopted and modified empirically, to take into account the finite strip conductor thickness and dispersion on the circular and elliptical cylindrical surfaces. The analysis of the structures has been done using conformal mapping. The developed models are verified and validated for wide range of line geometries from 1 GHz–60 GHz. All the models are within 2.3% of average deviation against reference data.
