The helical antennas (HAs) work as three different types with respect to various revolution length, which are the normal-direction helical antenna (NHA), the axial-direction helical antenna (AHA) and the conical-direction antenna (CHA). In this letter, the vortical radio waves carrying the multiple orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes generated by the NHAs and CHAs is proposed. The results of the NHAs and CHAs radiating the vortical radio waves carrying the OAM in modes of l=±1, ±2, ±3, ±4 are presented. Through the simulated results, for the OAM mode l, there is the spiral phase front with l∗2π phase variation along the concentric circle in the phase pattern. For the CHA with modes larger than 1, the null amplitude of electric field in the axial direction exist, and the null amplitude area expands more with the mode increasing.
