In the era of modern computing, the means of interacting with the machine demands the user to feed the input commands through efficient ways. Since the time of introduction of Graphical User Interfaces (GUI), technologies to interact with the machine has been mostly confined to only one input device namely mouse. Even though there are several techniques for input modalities coming up in this area of research, the demand for the most comfortable way of UX design always persist in the realm of HCI. This paper evaluates three different input modalities namely Laser Point Tracker, IMU Tracker, Finger Tracker and Motion Tracker for the performance index, cognitive load and the system usability. The evaluation system uses an ISO Tasking method for pointing and selecting the targets on the display screen and the average selection time of the target is calculated using Fitts' Law.
