This paper discusses the system development for micro vibration measurement for spacecrafts. This included scheme for instrumentation during micro vibration measurement and instrumentation assessment carried out before conducting micro vibration study in one of the structural model of Indian remote sensing spacecraft. The assessment includes the selection criteria for sensors, sensor behaviour for its surrounding environment, thermal aspect and selection of data acquisition parameters. Further, as part of micro vibration study on the structural model, several tests were conducted. During each test, data of nearly 80 measurement channels were acquired during which large amount of data were gathered for post processing. In order to ease post processing of stored large amount of data, software was developed that automated the post processing and helped users for faster analysis. The software developed has the capability for displaying waterfall plot, frequency analysis plot and tabulation of extracted analysis values. The software developed was instrumental in speeding up the analysis of the micro vibration measurements carried out on structural model as well as on flight model spacecraft.
