In this paper, we proposed an annular dielectric resonator antenna loaded with printed monopole antenna for a tri-bands application. The results are given in terms of the reflection coefficient, the radiation pattern and the realized gain. Before loading the dielectric resonator, the broadband monopole antenna works around a resonant frequency of 2.704 GHz and can cover a spectrum of 2.1 GHz. However, after the integration of the DR, two other bands are created; the first one operates at 4.84 GHz resonant frequency and the other at 7.624 GHz. With this new structure, the antenna can be used for the three bands including; WIFI, WIMAX, and X band applications.
