In this paper a supervision system based on the proportional distribution algorithm is developed, for a large wind farm based on the squirrel cage asynchronous generator (SCAG), associated with the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and the PQ control. The MPPT control mode is used to extract the maximum power from the wind and the PQ control is used to inject the required active and reactive power by the transmission system operator. The results of simulation are given through MATLAB/Simulink and show that the proposed supervision system is efficient, gives good performance and ensures that the wind farm behaves as a conventional power plant in terms of the active and reactive power management.
