This paper proposes a high-gain non-isolated DC-DC converter with output current source characteristic for connection in nanogrids. The proposal uses a voltage boosting cell associated with a coupled-inductor in order to achieve the high step-up voltage gain. Differently from the high gain converters frequently proposed in the literature, this one presents inherent characteristic of current source at the output. The proposed converter has low current ripple at the output, and the switch turns on in zero current transition (ZCT), besides operating with low voltage. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the converter is presented. A rated power 200 W prototype was implemented in the laboratory, presenting a maximum efficiency of approximately 96.2%.
