In this paper, we propose a method to stabilize a cascaded dc-dc system and to preserve its dynamic performance by eliminating the mutual loading effect between the load and the source converters. This effect is related to the ratio of the source output impedance to the load input impedance, which is referred as the minor loop gain. Hence, the proposed method reduces the output impedance of the source converter in order to decouple the interaction between the converters. and hence, the Middlebrook criterion is fulfilled. In addition, the proposed method is applicable to any conventional control scheme, and it is capable of handling multiple load systems. This flexibility is achieved because the introduced method does neither dependent on the controller parameters, nor on the source converter configuration. Our proposed method was verified mathematically, by simulation, and experimentally.
